Sally Vincent was born in Leicester and still resides in East Leicestershire. She has received no formal art training but has always had a lifelong love of making, creating and gardening.
This enthusiasm has manifested itself in many different forms, in the early years, always dressmaking and gardening, progressing to pottery, cooking and soft furnishing courses.
In 1990 she embarked on a three year City in Guilds Creative Design and Flower Arranging course. Having gained that certificate she then attended Leicester College to take a Botanical Illustration Diploma having attained this she has continued to paint and exhibit watercolour paintings in many galleries including paintings within the Highgrove Florilegium as part of the Princes Trust and awarded a Silver Gilt medal by the R.H.S.
In 2011 she was invited by a friend to join the group Region 8 of the International Felting Association who meet in Arnesby, Leicestershire. This has opened up yet another creative experience and feels that wet felting brings together her love of flowers and painting, but working with wool in a painterly fashion to produce natural images.
