I am a mixed-media artist working from my attic studio in Leicestershire producing framed work, assemblages and vessels.

I have always been fascinated by the tactile qualities of handmade paper. I’m drawn to its imperfections and fragility and have worked for many years with paper pulp, papers, textiles and found objects creating pieces that appear time-worn, with a sense of history. I manipulate or distress my paper works until they appear ethereal and other-worldly. A deep fascination with fossils and relics is apparent in many of my pieces, which are reminiscent of archaeological finds or ancient treasures. I am also very much inspired by myths and legends and love creating fantasy creatures, fish and other marine life, with scales, spines and trailing tendrils.
