Printmaker & textile artist.

I love working with colour and have experimented with many techniques both as an artist and a teacher. Printmaking is fascinating and really appeals to me because of its diversity. Collagraphs are particularly exciting!  The prints are made from hand-built collage blocks. These are carefully inked up using  both intaglio and relief methods, then hand- printed on a printing press. Limited additions are produced where I aim to use a range  of colour combinations so that each print is unique.

My designs are often inspired by nature and  the environment, particularly the bright colours of flowers and the sea on a sunny day!  Being a qualified interior designer, I also find inspiration in contemporary and historical fashion trends.  Some of these designs have been made in to wall hangings and printed on cards.

I am a member of “The Cloth Road Artists” and shall be exhibiting during “The Cloth Road Art Week” in April.
