From an early age I have been interested in art, but it was not until I retired that I was able to devote enough time to develop my ideas. A City and Guilds Creative Studies course provided the background I needed to combine design, painting and embroidery.

Living in West Africa for a year opened my eyes to fabric dyeing and design, and holidays boating through France exploring the beautiful countryside and medieval towns, provided an endless source of inspiration.

I am fascinated by organic forms and architecture together with colour, texture and pattern.
